Mention about the Assamese leaders who led the Non-cooperation Movement in Assam

After the Assam Association decided to join the Non-cooperation Movement in 1920, many Assamese leaders took active part in it. The movement in Assam was mainly led by Chandranath Sarma, Hemchandra Barua, Omeo Kumar Das, and Muhibuddin Ahmed.

Several young leaders such as Lakhidhar Sarma, Rohinikanta Hatibarua, Bimalakanta Barua, Kanak Chandra Barua, Benudhar Sarma, and Tilak Sarma also played an important role, especially in organising student participation and boycotting government schools.

Many prominent lawyers like Nabin Chandra Bordoloi, Kuladhar Chaliha, Tarunram Phukan, Kamini Kumar Chanda, and Bishnuram Medhi supported the movement and gave strong leadership in different parts of Assam.
